Fire Rated Highly Flexible Acoustic Sealant
This Fire Rated Acoustic Sealant is a very high quality, high flexibility, silicone based sealant, which provides excellent acoustic properties due to its high movement capacity and elastic recovery. It is assessed to BS476: Part 20 giving up to 4 hours fire resistance in suitable structures. It cures to form a tough tack free seal with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of building surfaces including plaster and wood.
When you are wanting to seal gaps in acoustic structures it is essential that the sealant used does not go off hard. The sealant must be flexible enough to provide a good seal as well as accomodate joit movement which is likely to occur over time. Failure to use a suitable sealant will seriously compromise the performance. Many sealant simply do not provide enough elasticity for acoustic purposes especially intumescent versions which expand with heat.

Main Uses:
For joints in compartment walls and floors, expansion joints, seals around lightweight partitioning, around fire rated doors and in service penetration seals where the integrity of a firewall needs to be maintained.
